RIBAA is a proud to be affliated with and a supporter of Rhode Island's ballet theatre (RIbt). RIbt is a non-profit organization with a mission to train the region's most gifted and serious young ballet dancers, focusing on stage performance. In the performances company dancers perform all the roles, from corps to lead. Some supporting guest artists also participate on occasion, especially when partnering is required.

Dancers meet weekly to take classes, learn choreography and rehearse for performances, as well as participate in field trips to see the region's talented professional dance companies. Entry is by audition only and open to dancers throughout the region ages 9 to 18. Dancers are obligated to take at least two technique classes weekly with their own studios in order to participate in RIbt.

The founder and current Artistic Director for RIbt is Nancy McAuliffe.
